The SSC Special Needs/ All Abilities Program was founded in 2006 by Frank Ragona, to allow youth and young adults with cognitive and physical disabilities with the opportunity to participate in the game of soccer.
SSC Special Needs Program Overview
Available for: Boys/Girls, All Ages
Skill Level: Recreational, Non-Structured
Schedule: Offered Year-Round
Lead by the founder and Head Coach- Frank Ragona and Coach Joe Barsalona, this specialized program that is offered year-round allows participants to learn the basic skills of the game – both individually and as a group.
The program supports the needs of the participants without a competitive environment - but one of patience, and most of all – FUN!
SSC Special Needs/All Abilities Program Structure
Sessions are not highly structured and allow time for participants to learn basics soccer activities and game instruction followed by non-competitive scrimmages.
Parents are always welcome to participate in the program if they wish, or they can sit back and enjoy the positive engagement while Coach Frank, Coach Joe and his supportive volunteer coaches run the program each week.
